Dear Incoming First Grade Families,

Hello! My name is Ms. Celenza, and I am so excited to be your child’s First Grade teacher next year!

As your children celebrate their Kindergarten graduation, I wanted to introduce myself and share our First Grade supply list. Congratulations to all of our soon-to-be first graders on this exciting milestone!

I hope you have a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and lots of special family memories. While you're enjoying your break, it is important for students to continue practicing the skills they worked so hard to learn in Kindergarten. Reading together, writing, practicing math facts, and completing their IXL Summer Learning activities can help keep those skills fresh and make the transition to First Grade much smoother in the fall. A little practice throughout the summer can go a long way in helping students feel confident and ready for a successful start to the school year.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone and starting a fantastic school year together in September. First Grade is such a fun year full of learning, growth, and new adventures, and I can't wait to welcome your children into our classroom!

3 2-pocket laminated folders ~ bottom pocket, please~ (one “Take Home Folder”, one “Friday Folder”, and one “In School Folder”)

2 K-2 Primary Journal Composition Notebooks 

1 soft large pencil cases 

2 boxes 24-count crayons 

4 Dry Erase Markers (any color)

1 box of 8 count markers 

6 jumbo sized glue sticks 

2 scissors ~Kids Fiskars~ 5 inch 

1 highlighter 

2 boxes of No.2 Ticonderoga pencils

3 large erasers 

2 4oz can of play doh (any color)

2 roll of paper towels

3 boxes of tissues

3 Disinfectant wipes (i.e. Clorox, Lysol) 

Headphones and USB Mouse for Computers/Chromebook. No Bluetooth. (in a bag labeled with your child’s name on it please)

**When preparing supplies for September, please be sure to label your child’s name on all supplies and personal belongings whenever possible. This helps us stay organized and ensures that items make their way back to the right student. **
